Trusting God Despite Seeming Silence
Welcome to your favourite Holy Ghost-powered, TRANSFORMATIVE Christian podcast—LET’S TALK GOD ‘N’ CHRIST!
I’m your host, Gabriella Osamor, and today, we’re diving deep into a topic that hits home for many of us—Trusting God Despite Seeming Silence.
But before we proceed, let’s invite the Holy Spirit to take over this conversation.
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with open hearts, ready to receive from You. Holy Spirit, take over this moment—let every word spoken be filled with Your power, truth, and transformation.
Lord, we silence every distraction, every doubt, and every fear. Speak to us, strengthen us, and remind us that even in the silence, You are working. Let this message ignite faith, bring clarity, and draw us closer to You.
We declare that lives will be changed, hope will be restored, and testimonies will arise from today’s episode. Be glorified in this space, Lord.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen!
Now, family, let’s talk!
Have you ever prayed and felt like heaven was on mute? Like you’re pouring out your heart, but all you’re getting back is crickets?
You fast, you cry, you quote Scriptures—yet it seems like God is just... silent?
Listen, you’re not alone. But before we break this down, let’s establish one thing: God is sovereign. Period.
God is Still God, Even in the Silence
He made you, called you, and He’s got a plan for you! Genesis 1:26-30 tells us He created us in His image and gave us dominion. That means you’re not an accident. You are CHOSEN.
And here’s what I love—God doesn’t abandon His own.
Isaiah 46:4 (NIV) says:
"Even to your old age and grey hairs, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will sustain you, and I will rescue you."
Now, let’s pause for a moment and really ponder this:
Earthly fathers might let go once their kids grow up. But God? He holds you down for life! So if He’s got you and has your back, why do we panic when we don’t hear from Him immediately?
As a matter of fact, when God seems silent, our flesh starts acting up.
“Did God hear me?”
“Is He ignoring me?”
“Maybe He doesn’t care about me.”
Oh, really? But let me ask you—hasn’t He come through before?
That breakthrough you didn’t even see coming, that miracle you whispered in passing, that protection you didn’t even know you needed?
If you struggle with doubt, maybe it’s time to start keeping a prayer journal—so when your emotions try to lie to you, you’ve got proof that God is still in the business of answering prayers!
You’re in Good Company!
Listen, some of the greatest giants of faith also wrestled with God’s silence.
Job said in Job 30:20: “I cry out to You, but You do not answer me…”
David—a man after God’s own heart—cried out in Psalm 22:1-2: “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?”
And then, Jesus Himself, on the cross, echoed the same words in Matthew 27:46: “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Yet none of them gave up. And neither should you! Because, listen—God’s silence is not His absence. His delay is not His denial.
Why Does God Seem Silent?
- God’s Timing is Perfect
Remember the wedding at Cana? Jesus told His mother, “My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:1-11) But when the time was right, He turned water into wine—and not just any wine—the BEST wine!
Remember Lazarus? Jesus waited two more days before going to him. Why? Because God alone must be glorified! (John 11:2-44)
If it’s not happening yet, it’s because God’s BEST is still being prepared for you! - God is Building Your Faith
James 1:2-4 tells us that trials produce perseverance.
If you got everything instantly, where would your faith be? - God is Protecting You from Premature Blessings
A blessing given too soon can become a burden.
God won’t give you a gift that will destroy you!
How Should You Respond to God’s Silence?
Keep Praying! (Luke 18:1-8)
Jesus said, “Men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”
Prayer is not a one-time transaction; it’s a LIFESTYLE.
Remember His Promises! (Hebrews 13:5-6)
He will never leave nor forsake you. If He said it, that settles it!
Stay in the Word! (Romans 10:17)
Faith comes by hearing. If you want to hear from God, open your Bible!
Look Back at His Faithfulness! (Psalm 77:11-12)
Keep a record of testimonies—so when the devil whispers lies, you can throw the truth right back at him!
Wait with Expectation! (Isaiah 40:31)
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength!”
Final Encouragement
Family, don’t let temporary silence make you question God’s permanent love for you.
He is moving behind the scenes, setting things up in ways your eyes haven’t seen, your ears haven’t heard, and your mind can’t even imagine! (1 Corinthians 2:9)
TRUST GOD. His plans are still good, His timing is still perfect, and your testimony is still loading!
If this blessed you, share it with someone who needs it. Let’s spread faith, not fear!
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your presence in this moment. Thank You for reminding us that Your silence is not Your absence, and Your delay is never denial. Lord, strengthen our hearts to trust You even when we don’t understand. Help us stand firm in faith, knowing that You are always working behind the scenes for our good.
Father, for everyone struggling with doubt, discouragement, or weariness, breathe fresh fire into their spirit. Renew their strength, Lord, and give them the grace to wait with expectation. Let testimonies rise from this word, and may faith be stirred up in every listener.
We declare that what You have planned for us will come to pass in Your perfect timing—nothing missing, nothing broken. Thank You, Lord, because You are faithful.
We give You all the glory, honor, and praise!
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen!
Thank You for Tuning In!
Stay strong, stay expectant, and remember—God is never truly silent… sometimes, He’s just setting the stage for something greater!
Until next time, God bless you!
