THE SILENCE OF GOD: WHEN HEAVEN SEEMS QUIET
Welcome to Let’s Talk God ’N Christ. I am your host GABRIELLA OSAMOR and today I want to speak to those who have prayed and heard nothing.
Silence is one of the hardest languages God speaks. Because when God talks, faith rises. But when God seams quiet, doubts have room to grow and fester.”
LET’S PRAY:
Heavenly Father, thank You once again for these moments with You. Be gracious to us in our times of doubt when You seem so far away.
May our hearts find peace knowing that You are working out things for our good.
Thank You Father in Jesus name.
Amen.
THE PSALM OF THE WAITING HEART
Psalm 13:1 — ‘How long, O Lord? Will You forget me, forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?’
How often have you felt like God Is silent? I feel so sometimes, it's natural.
David knew silence. This is the same David who killed Goliath and wrote worship songs. Yet he also questioned God with tears.
Notice, silence is not new. It is Biblical. It is historic. And it is not abandonment.
WHY GOD SEAMS SILENT?
(THREE POSSIBLE REASONS)
1.Silence for Formation
God forms character in silence. Noise informs; silence transforms.
2.Silence for Testing
Silence reveals whether we desire God or merely desire answers.
3.Silence for Transition
When heaven is quiet, destiny is being rearranged.
Let's explore
JESUS AND SILENCE
Jesus was silent before Pilate. Silent on the cross for hours. Isaiah said: ‘As a sheep before its shearers is silent.’ Heaven was silent because prophecy was unfolding.
In our world today we fear silence. We fill every gap with noise, content, conversation, distraction. But sometimes God withdraws the noise so we can finally hear Him.”
PERSONAL REFLECTION FROM MY HOSPITAL YEARS
There were nights in the hospital when machines beeped but heaven felt quiet. I prayed. I cried. I asked questions.
And for a long time, nothing. But looking back, silence didn’t mean absence. It meant God was working behind the curtains.
I'll share some EMOTIONAL TRUTHS
Silence is not rejection. Silence is not punishment. Silence is not God abandoning you. Silence is God rearranging something you cannot yet see.”
Faith that survives silence becomes a dangerous kind of faith because it no longer depends on goosebumps or signs.”
I ask myself:
What did God build in me during my times of silence?
What should I stop concluding during silence?’
Is God preparing a transition? If He is, Where is God preparing transition to?
My advice,
Don't give up when God seems silent. His timing is always perfect. Trust His love. Trust His willingness and trust His power.
GOD LOVES YOU
LET'S PRAY
“Lord, speak to the hearts that feel forgotten. And if You choose silence, give us understanding. Let no listener misinterpret silence as abandonment. Teach us to trust even without noise. In Jesus Name,
Amen.”
Thank you for listening. Do share this with someone who has been praying with no answer, it will heal their heart.
