Christian Character And Prosperity: CHRIST IN YOU!

Hello and welcome to another life-transforming episode of Let’s Talk God N’ Christ!

Today, we’re diving into a topic that has the power to redefine your walk with God and position you for a life of unstoppable growth and prosperity. It’s all about Christian Character and Prosperity – Christ in You!

When you received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you became a New Creation—born anew with a divine nature, but here’s the key: salvation is instantaneous, but growth is a journey. A progressive journey of transformation into the image of Christ, from glory to glory! This growth is evident in the development of godly character—a character that reflects Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

In this episode, we’ll explore how to cultivate this Christ-like character and align with God’s principles of prosperity, setting you on a path of irreversible growth and impact. Let’s begin!

  1. GOD’S DESIRE FOR YOUR GROWTH
God’s ultimate plan for you is to reflect His character and walk in His glory. This is not just a possibility; it is your calling! Apostle Paul captured it beautifully in 1st Corinthians 6:17: “But he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” The Holy Spirit seeks to express Himself fully through you. In 2nd Corinthians 3:18, we are reminded of the process: as we behold God’s Word, like looking into a mirror, we are transformed into His image—from glory to glory. This transformation is the work of the Spirit, and it’s both progressive and irreversible! Ephesians 4:13 takes it further, calling us to the “measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”  This is not a heavenly reality alone but a present-day experience! Imagine living as Christ is, here on earth (1 John 4:17).

  2. YOUR ROLE IN SPIRITUAL GROWTH
While God supplies the grace, you have a role to play in your growth. Just like the food you eat nourishes your body, the Word and practices of faith nourish your spirit. Let’s explore practical steps for spiritual maturity:

    1. Renew Your Mind
Romans 12:2 commands us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The Word of God is the agent of renewal, replacing old, worldly thoughts with divine truths. As you feed on the Word, your thoughts, actions, and habits align with Christ.

    2. Let the Word Dwell in You Richly
Colossians 3:16 instructs us to let the Word of Christ dwell richly in us. This requires consistent and intentional study. Prioritize it as you do physical food. 1 Peter 2:2 reminds us that the Word is the milk by which we grow.

    3. Cultivate a Life of Prayer
Prayer is your lifeline to God. It shapes your character and aligns you with His will. Jesus said, “Men ought always to pray” (Luke 18:1). Through consistent prayer, you grow in patience, hope, and strength.

  3. WALKING IN THE SPIRIT
Galatians 5:16 declares, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Walking in the Spirit means living under the influence of the Holy Spirit daily. It’s a conscious surrender to His leading, which produces godly fruit in your life (Galatians 5:22-23).

  4. CHOOSE GODLY ASSOCIATIONS
Your associations influence your character. Proverbs 13:20 says, “He who walks with the wise shall be wise.” Surround yourself with godly relationships that inspire growth and faith. Regularly attend church services, cell meetings, and fellowship gatherings—they are divine setups for your edification (Hebrews 10:25).

  5. BE AVAILABLE FOR SERVICE
Maturity in Christ is reflected in your willingness to serve. Ephesians 4:16 highlights that every believer has a role in the Body of Christ. Take on responsibilities in your church or community; this is how you demonstrate and develop godly character.

  6. SPEAK LIFE
Your words reflect your heart. Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45). Speak words that align with God’s truth and avoid corrupt communication (Ephesians 4:29). Let your words minister grace and life to others.

  7. PRINCIPLES OF PROSPERITY
Prosperity in Christ is not an accident; it is the result of understanding and applying God’s principles. You are a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17), blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

    1. Key Principles of Giving
    2. Tithing: Honor God with a tenth of your income (Malachi 3:10).
    3. First Fruits: Dedicate the first and best of your increase to God (Romans 11:16).
    4. Freewill Offerings: Give as your heart desires (2nd Corinthians 9:7).
    5. Seed Offerings: Sow with expectation, trusting God for a harvest (2nd Corinthians 9:10).
    6. Service Offerings: Give joyfully during church services as an act of worship.
Luke 6:38 assures us that as we give, it will be given back to us in abundance.

CONCLUSION
Beloved, God has called you to a life of excellence, fruitfulness, and impact.
