Living Inspired And Determined
LET'S TALK GOD 'N' CHRIST
WELCOME TO A NEW EDUCATIVE SERIES:
Topic: LIVING INSPIRED – Definition to Actualization
Let's Talk God 'n' Christ (EDUCATION) is your transformative Christian podcast series where we take timeless biblical truths and translate them into daily living.
In five segments, we'll be delving into something many talk about, but few break down fully:
"LIVING INSPIRED – From Definition to Actualization."
Living inspired is not just about feeling good for a moment—it's about living life fueled by godly purpose, passion, and presence—consistently. Let's unpack this together.
Host: Gabriella Osamor
Audience: Christian believers seeking clarity, daily motivation, and practical spiritual growth.
Segment 1: What Does It Mean to Live Inspired?
Let's start with the word "inspired".
It comes from the Latin inspirare—to breathe into.
So, to be inspired is literally to be filled with breath, or more deeply, to be filled with spirit—and for the believer, that means God's Spirit.
2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV) says:
"All Scripture is God-breathed…"
In other words, what is inspired carries divine life. It's not just hype. It's heaven's energy.
So, to live inspired means:
To live awake—not just existing, but engaged
To live connected—to God, your purpose, and your assignment
To live motivated by faith, not by mere feelings or fleeting trends
To let divine breath guide your daily choices, actions, and mindset
Question for you: Are you living full of breath, or just breathing to survive?
Segment 2: Signs You're Not Living Inspired
Before we go further, let's recognize what uninspired living looks like.
Here are some clues:
- 1. You wake up each day with no sense of direction
- 2. You rely more on external motivation than inner conviction
- 3. You feel spiritually disconnected even though you still "go through the motions"
- 4. You delay what God is nudging you to do because you feel tired, doubtful, or small
- 5. Your words lack fire—and your prayers feel dry
Let's be honest, we've all been there. But the good news is—we don't have to stay there.
God didn't call us to live muted. He called us to live moved.
Segment 3: What Fuels an Inspired Life?
Let's look at what feeds this inspiration from a Kingdom perspective.
1. The Holy Spirit
The source of true inspiration is the Holy Spirit Himself.
Job 32:8 (KJV):
"But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding."
The Spirit of God gives insight, direction, and internal fire.
2. The Word of God
The Bible is not just information—it's inspiration in written form.
Reading God's Word daily gives your soul breath. It renews your mind and ignites your faith.
3. Purposeful Living
Purpose is the anchor of inspiration.
When you know why you're here, you live inspired by heaven even in ordinary tasks.
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…"
4. Gratitude & Worship
Gratitude reminds you of what God has done. Worship reconnects you with who He is.
Together, they refuel your fire.
Segment 4: Actualizing Inspiration—Putting Breath Into Action
So how do we move from inspiration as an idea to a daily reality?
Here's your framework for actualizing the inspired life:
1. Start with Stillness
Don't rush. Inspiration often whispers.
Take 10 minutes each day to sit in silence, pray, breathe, and ask:
"Holy Spirit, what are You breathing into me today?"
2. Speak What You've Received
Write it down. Say it aloud.
Turn revelation into declaration.
Speak this over yourself:
"I live with purpose. I walk in clarity. I am divinely fueled."
3. Step Out in Faith
Inspiration with no
action becomes frustration.
Call that friend. Start that devotion group. Apply for that program. Share that word.
Don't wait for "perfect." God breathes best on our steps of obedience.
4. Track Your Sparks
Keep an "Inspiration Journal."
Write down moments when:
A verse came alive
A thought stirred your spirit
A burden lifted
A new idea was born
These are your soul's breadcrumbs—follow them.
5. Surround Yourself With the Right Voices
Be around those who live inspired.
Avoid the joy-drainers and feed off iron-sharpening connections.
Proverbs 27:17
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
Segment 5: Real-Life Application – My Story
There was a time I was in a dry rot. I had just lost my job, I was over 50 years old, single and sharing a home with my sister. For a while, there was no pressure. I had saved up some money. House rent paid up, groceries bought in bulk and stored up, household bills paid three months in advance. It's always been my lifestyle.
Then, my father passed. Yes, I was caring for him in our home. We were very close. In fact, I never wanted to be married because I one day overheard him saying he wouldn't know what he would do with himself if I decided to get married. My mother was late, she died at 64 years. So I never gave marriage a second thought. I was doing well by God's grace.
When my father passed, I was devastated. He died in March and was buried in May, my birthday weekend exactly. I just lost it. Outwardly, I functioned, but inwardly, I was in the doldrums. I put on massive weight and ended up in the hospital. Spent two years on a hospital bed.
Got discharged wheelchair bound and dependent on oxygen. To move I had to log the oxygen tank. Then the Lord, my Heavenly Father, came through for me. See, I have always been a strong believer. I never gave up in God. My family were the very best, very supportive. People from all over called with prayers. It was a traumatic experience.
God showed me mercy. He saw me through.
Now I write to encourage others. God is faithful. If He promised it, He will do it. Only believe.
I tell you, there was a time I was operating on routine—but not revelation.
I had a schedule, but no fire. Until one morning in prayer, I heard,
"You're showing up, but not pouring out your heart to Me."
That was the turning point. I began to ask, "Lord, breathe into my daily life again."
And slowly, clarity returned. Joy bubbled. Words flowed. I wasn't just living—I was living inspired.
CLOSING THOUGHT & PRAYER
Living inspired is not a luxury for a few but a divine call for every believer.
You were created to live in God's breath, speak with His wisdom, and move in His power.
Let's pray:
Father, breathe into us again.
Where our fire is low, rekindle it.
Where we've been operating in routine, inject fresh revelation.
Help us to live every day inspired—by Your Spirit, for Your glory.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
